Hot N Cold Chinese Buffet in East Ellijay

If I could give this place negative stars I would. The food was horrible I'm pretty sure it was reheated from the day before. There was like 3 Chinese dishes on the bar and then 2 more full bars of shoneys type food that was awful to the point of my grandmother not eating it which says a lot since she grew up poor and won't waste food on principal.

Best Chinese Buffet i have ever had it fills you up and there is such a big selection so you will never run out of that sushi you wanted!! I have been going for 8 years never leaving disappointed!!! Go check the place out and tell your friends if they live near the drive is worth it!!!

Do not eat here!! They were inspected and only made a 55 because everything was dirty and not up to code. It will make you awfully sick.

I have twice and will not go back. Food was so overcooked, bland, cold. Floors were slipprey and had sour order. Staff seemmed indifferent. I do not recommend and I now drive each week to Jasper for PEKING Gardens.

Pretty good food. Kinda dark but we'll lit over the buffet. Could be a nice little romantic spot. Seemed understaffed but they were constantly there making sure their customers were waited on. Oh yeah they were open on Christmas.

The food wasn't fresh because we got there so close to closing time but it was still pretty darn good, you can tell that when it's fresh it is amazing. Fast, friendly service, a good selection of food and decent prices. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be going back and taking our family!

Nasty trough style slop. You'd be better off eatting the asphalt in the parking than this trash.

Shouldn't be open at all. Eating dry cat food in the Walmart parking lot would be better than this place. Anything would be better than here!! Just don't go!!!!

This restaurant used to be the best Chinese Restaurant in the tri-state area. But in the last few months the quality of the food has diminished drastically. It appears that the nationality of their cooks have changed.

Nasty nothing to do with Chinese food...dried out... flavorless ......EXTREMELY poor selection.....its a dead end

I've been going to this buffet for years and sadly it's gone down hill. The food was nasty, miss labeled, flies everywhere and surely not worth $11.99 a person. The restaurant dirty, bathroom dirty and dark. Overall I won't be returning.

This place is permanently closed due to health code violations. It's a shame, they used to be really good a few years ago.

Awful, just awful.. I would not recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. Sure, the tables are clean and the overall inside decor and furniture still looks to be in decent condition but the floors desperately need to be cleaned and the the staff just overall didn’t seem to care about there costumers at all. Honestly, you get more out of buying a 69 cent packet of terriaki flavored ramen than you do out of this place! The food looks and tastes like it’s been made days ago and just stuck in the fridge until it’s served the next day. So much in fact that a few of the trays that the food was held in had a disgusting crust around the edges. YUCK! Also not to mention I had a small roach crawl on my utensils.. This place is a great example for what a restaurant shouldn’t be! I will not be visiting again. 👎🏻

As soon as we walked in our feet stuck to the nasty rug which should definitely be tore out ! Made the place smell of old dirty socks ! The food was old and cold ! Wasn’t long before I told my husband we must leave because the smell coming off that rug was making me nauseous! We will never return to that place unless they get a total makeover!

Nice buffet,real good verity. One of the cleanest buffet s I've been in. Price was fair 12.99 a person. I give it 3 stars because see some of the dishes tasted off compared to the other traditional Chinese buffets to me anyways.

Nasty. Someone else is running the place now. Not just new owners but servers as well. Not a friendly family restaurant anymore. They used to have a very uplifting atmosphere. Not now. Mostly the same menu items but cooked differently. Bland. That food made us sick. We've been going here for 6 years. Been going down hill for the past year or so. Yesterday topped it. Won't be going back, won't recommend it either.

The food was cold that was supposed to be hot!!!! All the meat items tasted as they sat under the warmer most of the day as well.

This restaurant has been going down in food quality and cleanliness since I moved to the area three years ago. I can no longer recommend it in good conscience and I do not plan on returning. The restroom has many lights actually missing or turned off. In my opinion because they do not want you to see the filth or disrepair, yuck.

Was there today, worst place ever. Food was terrible, service even worse, the place smelled awful. I think its the OLD nasty carpet they have in there. The floor at the food bar was so slick everyone was walking very slow to keep from falling. My son slipped a couple times at the bar and going to the restroom. He said the bathroom smelled so bad and was so nasty he could'nt hardly stand it long enough to use the bathroom. I WOULD NOT recommend this place at all.

Quite a Standard all-you-can-eat Asian buffet. A decent variety of foods, reasonably priced and with courteous service.

I don’t ever leave bad reviews but this is necessary. This place is gross! Your shoes literally stick to the carpet. It’s dirty and it’s dark. The buffet had very little selection and half of what they should have had was empty. What they did have was old and burnt to the pan. Even the cookies were burned. The broccoli was an orangey yellow color. The food was awful and the service was awful. A complete waste of my money!Update: they just scored a 55 on their health inspection 🤮

Huge selection of well prepared food. Very clean establishment and all employees were helpful plus genuinely friendly.

Some of the food that should have been hot, was cold. Did not keep all the choices full in a timely manner. Has an extra charge for ice cream. Used to be part of dessert choices and free.

The Buffet was good, you get what you pay for. It is very inexpensive $8 if you get water and eat. Looks clean and staff seemed nice.

Eat here once a month because they have Crab Legs(at additional cost) but they were out until next week.. But I enjoy the hibachi bar its my fav.

I enjoyed the sushi most of all,the coconut shrimp was awesome,and the salad bar ,for the price at 12.99 it was above average quality,some items were left on bar too long, otherwise it's good food if you know what your craving. The table service is attending as they watch you closely and make sure to clear your plates, and bring you refills in new glasses made of shatter proof plastic. It's all in all the best bang for your buck.

Not really that good...downgrading from a 3 to 2 star... went tonight and the food was either flavorless, old, oily, overcooked or a combination of all of them. $30 for 2 people and if you want crab, it's $9.99lb and ice cream is 50 cents for a small cup. The only thing semi deserving of the 2 stars was the hibachi which was the only thing with some flavor and fresh... just a bit over cooked. This place has gone down hill in the last couple of years.

Clean place, looks like the locals beat it up, but it's a beautiful place and atmosphere. Food is good, though the selection left me lacking. Too much spicy food. What I did eat was well made.

Most here really like this place, buffet/grill only. I'd recommend lunch/dinner hours when everything is fresh.

Closed for the week due to 'employee training'. So says the sign on the door. Only thing is, that sign has been their nearly a month. I hope to come back one day soon and either see them open or a new sign on the door thanking customers for years of service but that they have decided to keep the doors closed. I understand the publicity surrounding this place. I also understand it is a buffet and can never be perfect . With a remodel, this place could be top notch.

Large variety of food good service

Can only give this 3 stars due to the inconsistency in the food. When we have gone and it was busy, the food was good but have to struggle for certain items; they go quick. If we went at slower times, the food may be cold, dry, stale, etc. The last two times we went, we chose to go before the dinner rush on Saturday. Everyone in our group was sick by the next morning ..... We assume it was from older foods on the buffet. If you are going (and can take the crowds; I can't due to PTSD) lunch any day, or dinners on Friday, Saturday would be best.

Disappointing. All of the meats on the buffet were overcooked, dried out around the edges and tough. There were 2 packets of crackers on the salad bar and they were stale. All of the fried foods were soaked in grease as if their deep fryer was not hot enough. The sushi is mostly rice. There were enough well prepared items that we were able to eat but we're not used to wasting food and so much was just not edible.

Everything was cold it had to be sitting out for hours. I will never go back again it was horrible..
